Middlesbrough fans tip Fry for strong season
Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry was on the scoresheet in England Under-21s’ 2-1 win over Mexico Under-21s in the final of the Toulon Tournament at the weekend.
Fry had a strong tournament for his country, and will now be looking to break into the Boro first team next season.
The 20-year-old signed a new five-year contract with Boro back in April, which is an indication of how the Championship club feel about the young defender.
Fry made 21 first-team appearances for Boro last season, but just 12 of those came in the Championship, and he was hardly involved in the latter stages of the campaign.

The club’s supporters, however, are feeling very good about the centre-back’s long-term future.
Indeed, Fry will be full of confidence following his international success with England this summer, and will be looking to break into the first XI during the 2018-19 campaign.

Boro are seemingly facing a battle to keep in-demand youngster Bilal Brahimi at the Riverside Stadium this summer, but Fry will certainly be at the club next term as he eyes a first-team spot.
