A Copa Rubro-Verde chega à sua segunda edição desbravando ainda mais as fronteiras de torneio preparatório. Além de contar com quatro clubes brasileiros de origem portuguesa, a segunda edição do torneio contará com uma participação vinda da “terrinha”:

– Quando criamos o torneio, nosso interesse era fortalecer esta marca da Copa Rubro-Verde e ajudar os clubes de origem portuguesa a crescerem. Mas, agora, para esta edição, teremos o privilégio de contar com o Marítimo, um clube europeu, que é uma vinda que valoriza muito a nossa competição, sem dúvida– detalhou o presidente da Portuguesa, Alexandre Barros, ao LANCE!.

O verde-rubro da Ilha da Madeira estará no Grupo A, que teve seu jogo de abertura na última quinta-feira. A Portuguesa-RJ, atual campeã da competição, atropelou a Portuguesa Londrinense por 4 a 0, com dois gols de Rodrigo Andrade, enquanto Nilson e Muniz completaram a goleada no Estádio Luso-Brasileiro.

Já o Grupo B será formado pelos dois representantes paulistas. A Lusa e a Portuguesa Santista duelarão no Canindé.

‘INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO’ DO TORNEIO É DESTACADA

O fato de contar com o Marítimo-POR (que usará uma equipe reserva em território brasileiro) já enche os olhos dos demais participantes da competição. Vice de futebol da Portuguesa da Ilha, Marcelo Barros crê que a Copa Rubro-Verde fica mais competitiva:

– O Marítimo disputa a primeira divisão do Campeonato Português. Nós internacionalizamos o torneio! Isto ajuda muito também a nossa preparação para o Campeonato Carioca.

Mandatário do Leão de Londrina, Edson Moretti também vê como uma evolução o clube português disputar o torneio preparatório:

– Sem dúvida, neste ano está muito mais forte a competição. O Marítimo é uma equipe de qualidade, acrescenta à Copa Rubro-Verde, que já tem como importância buscar fortalecer as quatro Portuguesas do Brasil.

Presidente da Portuguesa Santista, Emerson Coelho também exaltou a presença dos verde-rubros da “terrinha”:

– A perspectiva é a melhor possível. É um torneio preparatório para chegarmos bem na Série A2 (do Paulistão) e enfrentar um clube como Marítimo nos ajuda a entrar o ano nos eixos.

O clube da Ilha da Madeira faz sua estreia no Grupo A contra a Portuguesa Londrinense neste sábado, às 16h (de Brasília), no Estádio Luso-Brasileiro. Já no dia 8 de janeiro, enfrentará a Portuguesa-RJ, no mesmo horário e estádio.

VASCO? POR UM TRIZ…

De acordo com os dirigentes, a Copa Rubro-Verde esteve bem próxima de contar com outro clube da colônia portuguesa que seria uma cereja do bolo para esta edição da competição:

-O Vasco chegou a confirmar mas, infelizmente, ele definiu sua pré-temporada para Atibaia e, infelizmente, desistiu de participar da competição – revelou o vice de futebol da Portuguesa da Ilha, Marcelo Barros.

O presidente da Portuguesa, Alexandre Barros, também lamentou a ausência do clube da Colina:

– Foi uma pena. Mas foi uma questão de tempo hábil mesmo e também pesou a questão técnica, de optar pela pré-temporada fora do Rio.

DESEJO DE AUMENTAR A FORÇA DO TORNEIO

Os participantes da Copa Rubro-Verde exaltam como a competição vem ganhando “corpo” e, mesmo com a segunda edição ainda em seu início, já começam a trazer novas sugestões para o torneio preparatório. Dirigente da Portuguesa Londrinense, Edson Moretti vê com otimismo o futuro da competição:

-A gente acha que é importante fortalecer a marca da Copa Rubro-Verde. Esperamos que no próximo ano ela esteja ainda melhor- afirmou, dando a sugestão logo em seguida:

-Já tivemos uma edição em São Paulo e esta agora com sede no Rio. Quem sabe, em 2020, elapossa ser jogada em Londrina – disse sobre a cidade, que já foi sede do Pré-Olímpico de 2000.

Mandatário da Briosa, Emerson Coelho também destacou sua confiança que o torneio possa ser aberto a outros clubes de origem luso-brasileira:

– Seria fundamental que virasse uma competição forte. A ponto de trazermos o Vasco, Tuna Luso, demais clubes da colônia portuguesa no Brasil e também de Portugal…

DESAFIOS DAS ‘LUSAS’ NA TEMPORADA

Porém, os desafios de cada Portuguesa em 2019 vão muito além de conquistar a Copa Rubro-Verde. Dirigente da Lusa da Ilha do Governador, que busca o bicampeonato, Marcelo Barros não esconde que a prioridade é ir bem no Estadual:

-A Copa Rubro-Verde é uma ótima preparação para o Campeonato Carioca. A gente está, como sempre, esperançoso num bom papel no Estadual. Conhecemos muito bem o investimento que foi feito ano a ano, sabemos o fortalecimento que a Portuguesa teve. Agora, é ter pés nos chão.

Vice-campeão do torneio preparatório, o clube do Canindé vê no acesso à elite do Paulistão uma tentativa de honrar sua tradição e também para estancar parte das sérias dívidas financeiras que assolam o clube:

– Somos o time mais tradicional da competição. Temos de lutar pelo acesso, pelo título da Série A2. Para isto, investimos em jogadores da divisão, contratamos um técnico especialista em acessos (Luís Carlos Martins) e vamos lutar para voltar à elite.

A Portuguesa Santista, que obteve o acesso como campeã da Série A3 em 2018, iniciará nova divisão com uma meta para lá de ambiciosa:

– Nossa prioridade é o acesso. Vamos para a Série A2 bastante empenhados, desejando novo acesso, agora para a elite, que é de onde a gente nunca devia ter saído – garantiu Emerson Coelho.

Já na Portuguesa Londrinense, o tom é mais comedido. Segundo Edson Moretti, a Copa Rubro-Verde indicará os desafios da equipe, que em 2019 disputa a Terceira Divisão do Campeonato Paranaense:

– Nossa equipe está bem mais atrasada em relação à Portuguesa do Rio e às de São Paulo. Nossa competição só inicia em março, vamos usar a Copa (Rubro-Verde) como um teste para nós.

Ajustes que são feitos entre clubes brasileiros de origem bem portuguesa, com certeza.

Em meio ao clima de comemoração pelo tão esperado retorno à elite, o Fortaleza já volta suas atenções para 2019. No que depender do mandatário do clube, Marcelo Paz, o torcedor pode esperar um Tricolor do Pici competitivo, com elenco formado por jogadores com “expertise” de Série A e empenhado em driblar os riscos de um “efeito ioiô”.

Em entrevista ao LANCE!, o presidente do campeão da Série B deste ano crê que a conquista da competição (da qual a equipe se despede nesta sexta-feira, contra o Coritiba, no Couto Pereira) é capaz de “curar” traumas tanto de torcida quanto de diretoria. Além disto, traça perspectivas sobre cotas de TV, destino de destaques como Gustavo e abre o jogo sobre Ceni:

– Nosso desejo é manter o Rogério por um ou dois anos de trabalho. Confiamos no trabalho dele.

LANCE!: Presidente,depois do acesso, do título, queria saber qual é a sensação da conquista ocorrer em uma data especial como esta, que é o centenário do Fortaleza?

Marcelo Paz: É um sentimento de muita gratidão, de viver este momento. Uma bênção poder, aos 35 anos, presidir o clube de coração neste centenário. Queria agradecer à torcida do Fortaleza, que é espetacular, pela presença, pelo apoio durante a temporada. Isto é muito marcante. Eu, que vi como diretor e como vice-presidente o clube sofrer tanto na Série C pude, em pouco mais de um ano, ver o Fortaleza voltar à Série A, é muito marcante.

L!: Antes de ter subido para a Série B, o Fortaleza “bateu na trave” de uma forma cruel, muitas vezes caindo nas quartas de final. Acha que este “trauma” fortaleceu o clube na disputa da Segunda Divisão neste ano?

Não sei, não vejo tanta ligação com isto. A gente sabia que quando chegasse à Série B, viria muito forte, pelo tamanho da torcida. É claro que não imaginávamos que seríamos campeões logo no primeiro ano de disputa, mas quem vê, não sabe o quanto foi difícil curar nossos “traumas”. A cada momento que a gente oscilava na Série B, vinham lembranças dos anos anteriores. Dá para dizer que esta conquista foi uma cura de todos os traumas.

L!: Quais são os desafios do Fortaleza para esta volta à elite?

O principal desafio é manter a equipe na elite em 2020. Sabemos que a distância entre a Série B e a Série A é muito grande. O Fortaleza chegará à elite com um dos menores orçamentos da competição. Além disto, estamos há muito tempo longe da Primeira Divisão (a mais recente participação ocorreu em 2006). Temos de montar um elenco que dê condições de não descermos.

L!: Sobre a parte financeira, no ano que vem passará a vigorar uma nova relação quanto a cotas de TV. Como está o Fortaleza neste novo cenário?

Olha, nosso orçamento para 2019 será praticamente o dobro que tivemos neste ano. Porém, ainda estaremos muito longe dos gigantes. Não podemos dobrar nosso orçamento. Teremos de montar uma fonte de renda e, além disto, precisamos ter muita tranquilidade e precisão nas contratações.

L!: Além disto, a Série B não deixa de ser uma vitrine, em especial quanto ao Fortaleza, que foi campeão. Como está o planejamento de vocês?

O planejamento do elenco passará pela manutenção da comissão técnica. Entendo que a saída de jogadores é algo normal, não vejo como grande preocupação. Muita gente vai sair, está valorizada. Claro que nosso desejo é manter os jogadores que têm mais perfil de uma disputa de Série A.

L!: O Fortaleza já entrou em negociação com Rogério Ceni?

Já sinalizamos nosso desejo de que ele permaneça. No momento oportuno, a gente vai entrar em contato. Já conseguimos os dois objetivos, que eram o acesso e o título, mas não sentamos ainda para conversar os detalhes. A intenção é que a gente converse com muito carinho. Acredito que até novembro tenhamos esta definição.

L!: Com a conquista da Série B, outros clubes podem começar a cobiçar o Rogério Ceni. Acha que a permanência dele seria uma forma do Fortaleza fechar seu centenário com chave de ouro?

Sem dúvida. Seria um grande passo, um fim de ano perfeito a permanência dele.

L!: Outro nome que se destacou muito nesta campanha e não tem vínculo direto com o Fortaleza é o Gustavo. Há a chance de ele seguir no clube? Em especial neste período em que o Corinthians, detentor dos direitos dele, está com problemas com centroavantes.

O Gustavo pertence ao Corinthians. Ele se destacou muito neste ano, é artilheiro do futebol brasileiro mesmo jogando só duas competições e lidando com uma contusão. O Corinthians pode tanto aproveitá-lo quanto querer vendê-lo. Acho difícil mantermos o Gustavo aqui no clube, mas garanto uma coisa: ele foi muito feliz no Fortaleza. Tem o carinho da torcida. Pode até permanecer, mas ele foi bastante valorizado neste ano.

L!: Neste retorno à elite, o Fortaleza vai enfrentar o desafio do “efeito ioiô”, de um clube que sobe em um ano e cai no outro, como foi o caso do próprio Paraná. O que o senhor tira de lição para que o Tricolor do Pici não passe por isto?

Acho que o principal é qualificar o elenco com jogadores que tenham “expertise” de Série A. Além deste “expertise”, outro fator é dar prioridade para formar uma espinha dorsal forte, que permita ajudas e chegadas, desde o início do ano. Afinal, vamos ter de lidar com mudanças no decorrer do ano. Não temos de cair de rendimento a bruscas de qualidade no meio do ano.

L!: Mesmo depois da perda do Estadual, o clube manteve o Rogério Ceni, que estava muito criticado pela torcida. O senhor, como torcedor e como dirigente, acha que deixar o Ceni acabou pesando para a equipe garantir o acesso?

Olha, logo na sexta, sétima rodada, eu vi que o time estava jogando muito bem. A gente viu como a presença do Rogério era muito importante. Pela confiança que demos a ele, por tudo o que ele passava ao time, que estava todo organizado e tinha condições de jogar sempre de igual para igual com adversários.

L!: Além disto, Ceni trouxe mudanças estruturais do Fortaleza. Podemos esperar mudanças ou ampliações para 2019?

A gente vai qualificar a parte do gramado, dos campos e um vestiário novo. Queremos um nível estrutural de excelência para o Fortaleza.

L!: O Fortaleza tem um projeto de gerenciamento compartilhado com o Ceará para o Castelão. Como estão as negociações disto?

Estamos vendo com o Ceará como esta gestão compartilhada acontecerá. O objetivo é que os equipamentos, os setores do Castelão fiquem a cargo dos dois clubes. Naturalmente, cada um cuidando de seus respectivos jogos. Acreditamos que esta seja uma forma de valorizar o futebol cearense, gerar novas receitas para todos. Estamos conversando não só entre nós, mas com o governo do estado do Ceará para isto. Nada melhor do que os dois clubes de massas se juntarem para valorizar o futebol do nosso estado.

L!: Bem, enquanto o Fortaleza garantiu o acesso, o Ceará vem lutando contra o rebaixamento na Série A. Até onde a permanência do Ceará na elite será importante para o clube? O senhor está torcendo para isto?

Olha, torcendo, não estou não. Não torço para o rival. Agora, para o estado é muito bom. Faz bem para a economia do nosso estado. Seria algo grandioso para o futebol cearense ter dois clubes na elite de 2019. Faria só bem para nós.

L!: Para encerrar, presidente, deixe um recado sobre o que o torcedor pode esperar do Fortaleza para o ano de 2019.

Sem dúvida, um Fortaleza organizado, que vai disputar cada um de seus pontos nesta volta à elite. Teremos um time competitivo, que vai brigar para se manter, que vai valorizar nossa marca e que quer seguir em 2020 na elite.

The frenzied conclusion of Pakistan’s innings contrasted with the composure shown by Michael Clarke’s team, who took a major step towards preserving an unbeaten record against the subcontinental side that has lasted since 2002.While Clarke played a critical role, notching a fluent 66 when all around him looked fraught in the face of Pakistan’s spin, it was equally heartening for the Australians that the less seasoned George Bailey and Glenn Maxwell supplied the game-clinching stand. وتابع: “نعلم مدى صعوبة الأمر، لكن مثل هذه المباريات القوية هي ما تحدد فرصك وهي حتى الآن متساوية مع الجميع، لذلك يجب على اللاعبين أن يبذلوا قصارى جهدهم”.

وعن مواجهة محمد صلاح قال: “أحبه كثيرًا، لأنني من مشجعي ليفربول، علينا الحذر منه ومن تحركاته وسرعته الكبيرة”.

Mas uma notícia vinda do Uruguai na tarde de quinta-feira abriu ainda mais o caminho para o “fico” do treinador do Tricolor: Óscar Tabárez está perto de oficializar sua permanência no comando da seleção do país até a Copa do Mundo de 2022.

Aguirre seria um nome forte para assumir a Celeste se a saída de Tabárez, que chegou a ser dada como certa por ele mesmo após o Mundial da Rússia, se concretizasse. Mas a comissão normalizadora que está à frente da Associação Uruguaia de Futebol até que se realizem novas eleições (a Fifa entendeu que o último processo eleitoral “não cumpriu os requisitos de transparência”) alinhou um acordo para a permanência do “Maestro”, que está no cargo há 12 anos.

Pedro Bordaberry, presidente da comissão normalizadora, disse em entrevista coletiva nesta quinta que a AUF tem condições financeiras de manter Tabárez e que consultou os presidentes dos clubes uruguaios sobre o tema, restando apenas o “ok” do mandatário do Wanderers, que está em viagem.

De acordo com a imprensa local, a renovação será assinada nas próximas horas e Tabárez já será o responsável pela convocação para os amistosos contra Coreia do Sul e Japão, em 12 e 16 de outubro. A lista sai até domingo.

A possibilidade de perder Diego Aguirre para a seleção uruguaia atormentava o São Paulo desde a chegada do treinador. Ele assegurou a Raí, antes mesmo de ser contratado, que só não ficaria no Morumbi até o fim do ano se fosse mandado embora. Aguirre é unanimidade no clube e sempre diz que está muito feliz, mas pediu para negociar só após o Brasileiro e alertou que fará algumas exigências durante as conversas.

Andy Flower, England’s director of cricket, has voiced concern that Kevin Pietersen will become detached from the rest of the England squad and will come to regret his decision to retire from limited-overs international cricket.”Even Andrew Strauss found it difficult with only playing the Test game,” Flower said. “Part of our challenges are to constantly work on our unity and harmony. It is a danger that he could become detached but I hope it is not the case.”Flower said that he tried in vain to dissuade Pietersen from a retirement from ODI cricket, which was announced on May 31, during discussions that had been ongoing for about 18 months.England’s most box-office batsman has made it clear that he would like to continue to play Twenty20 internationals, but this was refused because the terms of England’s central contracts state that players must be available for both limited-overs formats to be considered for either.”I think it’s sad for Kevin that he won’t be playing all three forms of the game in international cricket,” Flower said. “I’m not annoyed. I think it’s quite sad. He’s very clear about what he wants to do, so that’s his choice.”He’s a very fine international cricketer; he makes us stronger when he plays. I tried on a number of occasions to dissuade him for, what I believe, is his own good, but that’s by the by. These are two of the best cricketing nations in the world and we want to put out strong sides against them.”The ECB’s determination not to allow ODI cricket to be degraded – winning a global ODI tournament remains a top priority – and fear of a widespread withdrawal of players from 50-over cricket was the reason for their uncompromising insistence that England players must be available for both one-day formats.”What is important is the reasons behind the ECB policy,” Flower said. And the reasons behind that policy is that 50-over cricket is an integral part of the goals set that the ECB want the international team to achieve. For the first time they want them to win a 50-over World Cup competition. There’s also the ICC Champions Trophy; that’s also a clear goal of the ECB.”There is also the status of ODI cricket, not only in this country but over the world, to take into consideration and when making these policy decisions you have to consider the precedents. And if that policy encourages five or six other top class international players to retire from international one-day cricket, you are degrading the status of ODI cricket in this country and the world.”Flower was reluctant to be drawn on England’s heavy international schedule. “I think there’s very limited influence I have on the schedule. The schedule is tough, there’s no doubt about that. If you have been involved in that over a period of time it’s tough. My job is to try and manage it as well as possible.”As he remarked, with reference to the debate that followed the resting of James Anderson and Stuart Broad from the third Test at Edgbaston, that was not always easy.Flower denied that there was any problem with his own relationship with Pietersen. “I have read occasionally our relationship is not great, but actually I think we get on pretty well,” he said. “We’re fairly honest with each other and I think we have quite a good working relationship. I hope he can really enjoy the years of Test cricket that are ahead of him and I hope he does brilliantly in them.”He’s got his game into really good order at the moment. Technically he’s really sound. He’s done some great work with Mushtaq Ahmed and Graham Gooch on his batting, especially his playing of spin. His new method worked and you probably saw evidence of that on Sunday in the way he played their spinner.”Flower also confirmed that Pietersen will play four T20 games for Surrey – three at the Kia Oval and one at Hove – before playing one championship match against Lancashire at Guildford in preparation for the Investec Test series against South Africa. Flower also confirmed that talks about Andrew Strauss going on loan, probably to Somerset, had “been mooted”.”Between now and the South African Test series the amount of four-day cricket available to Strauss is non-existent,” Flower said. “He’s got one game before the Test series so it is a bit of a problem. How we deal with that is not that easy. Myself, Andrew Strauss and Graham Gooch have an idea about how we can do that but it’s not ideal. It’s tricky but no decisions have been made.”
