Neymar da Silva Santos, um dos empresários de Lucas Lima, espera terminar até sexta-feira a negociação com o Palmeiras. Já com um acordo verbal, o agente quer assinar ainda nesta semana um pré-contrato entre clube e jogador, para que em janeiro, quando o vínculo com o Santos acaba, ele possa assinar o contrato, que deve valer por cinco temporadas.

-Está bem adiantado. Confirmado ainda não, porque tem os trâmites legais e jurídicos a serem colocados. Estão discutindo a forma de permanência, tempo de contrato. Até o fim da semana espero ter um acordo, pelo menos formalizado para assinar o contrato em janeiro – explicou o pai de Neymar, em entrevista ao Fox Sports.

Lucas Lima vai se reunir nesta quarta-feira com o presidente do Santos, Modesto Roma Júnior, para informar que aceitou a proposta do Palmeiras. O dirigente já recebeu também o contato de Maurício Galiotte, presidente do Verdão, que comunicou estar em negociações adiantadas com o armador.

Lucas tem contrato até 31 de dezembro com o Santos e pode desde julho fechar um pré-contrato com outra equipe. Ele só conseguirá assinar um vínculo definitivo ainda em 2017 se antecipar o fim de seu compromisso com o Peixe, mas isto não acontecerá. Por isso a saída será assinar um pré-acordo com o Verdão agora e esperar a virada do ano.

Os trâmites atuais são apenas formalidades, já que na segunda uma comitiva do atleta esteve na Academia de Futebol, onde chegou a um acordo com o Palmeiras. Foram ao local, além do pai de Neymar, o agente André Cury, o advogado da NN Consultoria, Gustavo Xisto, e Roberto Lima, pai do atleta. Todos foram na sequência para o Allianz Parque, onde assistiram à vitória do Verdão sobre o Botafogo.

Tottenham insider John Wenham believes the club could seal the signing of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in a number of days, Football Insider report.

Managing director at Spurs Fabio Paratici has been linked with a move for Kessie for a number of months now.

The Ivorian, capable of playing as a central or defensive midfielder, has just six months remaining on his AC Milan contract.

That means Tottenham will have the chance to seal pre-contract terms in the January transfer window, with The Daily Express reporting in recent days that talks are at an advanced stage.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen, but it’s believed Antonio Conte’s side are at the front of the queue for the 25-year-old’s signature.

Spurs insider Wenham was talking to Football Insider in a story on Thursday evening regarding Kessie.

He feels that a move could be finalised in ‘days’, labelling Paratici as a ‘specialist’.

“The Franck Kessie stuff is still going on.

“The opportunity to get him on a pre-contract is coming up in a few days and I think that’s one to keep an eye on.

“I’ve mentioned before about Paratici’s links with Serie A and how he is a specialist at getting these deals done.

“That one would not surprise me. There are reportedly a lot of clubs interested in him.

“But now we have the pulling power of Antonio Conte, which could give us an edge.”

Should Spurs land Kessie on a pre-contract agreement over the coming days, it could turn out to be an excellent piece of business both in the short and long term, with Paratici then able to look at immediate January additions.

Tottenham would be getting a £43.2m-rated midfielder seemingly in his prime for nothing, with Kessie bringing a wealth of international and European experience to north London.

There could also be a number of midfield departures at Spurs over the next few weeks, with Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso linked with exits. Should the pair move on, that would leave Conte with just four senior midfield options, so bringing in Kessie would help bolster the numbers in the middle of the pitch.

Nick Hammond is reportedly now eyeing up a move to sign Manuel Lanzini for Newcastle United.

The Lowdown: Hammond hired

As per Sky Sports, the St. James’ Park faithful have now hired former Celtic and Reading Director of Football (DoF) Nick Hammond on a short-term deal as a transfer consultant.

He will oversee the January transfer window, and has been tasked with bringing in players to help in their relegation fight.

The Latest: Lanzini eyed

According to 90min, one of Hammond’s first signings could be Lanzini, as the North East club are eyeing a loan move for the West Ham United ace next month.

David Moyes would reportedly not mind letting him leave on loan, and given the situation that the Tyneside outfit find themselves in, it could prove to be a good move for all parties.

The Verdict: Makes sense

While Lanzini has been starting more regularly in the Premier League, he has been far from first choice throughout the season, and so may want a loan move away in order to play more football.

There is no doubt that the talent is there, as Lionel Messi even once hailed him by admiring his potential and claiming that he could play for FC Barcelona when he was there.

BBC pundit Stephen Warnock went as far as to claim that he was ‘magic’ and capable of ‘genius’ after impressing away at Manchester City earlier this season, and he could give Eddie Howe’s team that extra bit of firepower to keep them up.

Nonetheless, if they end up getting relegated, Lanzini could then just return to the Hammers after his loan spell, and so the deal would make a lot of sense for all parties involved.

Kemar Roach’s Test career consists of a pair of defeats to Bangladesh, but his confidence clearly remains undiminished. After his first day’s play as a member of a full-strength West Indian squad, Roach spoke openly of exploiting Ricky Ponting’s weaknesses, his desire to claim the final five Australian wickets for under 30 runs on Friday and his unflinching belief that the tourists can win the Gabba Test.Anyone expecting West Indies to meekly surrender to the Australians this series clearly hadn’t counted on the 21-year-old Bajan quick. In 16 overs of lively pace bowling, Roach terrorised Ponting – striking him a painful blow to the groin, rapping him on the pads with a delivery that, if sent for review, would have resulted in a wicket – before eventually dismissing the Australian captain with the ball of the day. And all at a top speed touching 150 kmh.Such was his determination, few would have bet against Ponting converting his half-century into triple figures. Eight boundaries and a six had cannoned off his blade in the first session but Roach responded with a brisk and disciplined spell after lunch to rein him in. Then came the moment: a fuller, straighter delivery that drew Ponting into a push around his off stump.
