وكانت قرعة دور المجموعات ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا قد أسفرت عن تواجد فرق الهلال والمريخ السوداني مع الأهلي وصن داونز الجنوب إفريقي.

O Flamengo já sabe quando será julgado peloTribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (TJD-RJ) por conta degritos homofóbicos de parte da torcida rubro-negra no clássico diante do Fluminense, realizado no dia 12 de fevereiro e válido pela semifinal da Taça Guanabara. Será às16h desta quinta.

O clube rubro-negro foi enquadrado nos artigos nos artigos 243-G e 191. O primeiro diz que o clube “praticou ato discriminatório, desdenhoso ou ultrajante, relacionado a preconceito. O segundo por deixar de cumprir ou dificultar o cumprimento do regulamento legal da competição.

A denúncia partiu dos gritos de “time de v…” das arquibancadas durante a partida da quarta-feira passada, que terminou com a vitória do Flamengo pelo placar de 3 a 2. Além da torcida, o canal oficial do time rubro-negro, a Fla TV, por meio do narrador Emerson Santos e Alexandre Tavares, fizeram comentários homofóbicos na transmissão. Os dois envolvidos e o clube se pronunciaram nas redes sociais pelo ocorrido.

Após o clássico, o presidente do Fluminense, Mário Bittencourt, usou as redes sociais para cobrar a Procuradoria do TJD-RJ. No texto, o mandatário chamou o procurador André Valentim, o mesmo que denunciou o Tricolor pelos gritos de “time assassino”, de rubro-negro e disse que ele “fechou os ouvidos e não leu as notícias”.

“O TJD-RJ, em razão da insegurança jurídica que porventura possa ser causada, vem a público esclarecer que foi protocolada no final da tarde desta sexta-feira (14) denúncia em face do Clube de Regatas do Flamengo pelos supostos gritos homofóbicos entoados por sua torcida no último Fla-Flu, válido pela semifinal da Taça Guanabara.

A Procuradoria de Justiça Desportiva é a signatária da peça acusatória, sendo ela absolutamente independente, na forma da lei, cabendo ao Procurador avaliar a conveniência da instauração do procedimento acusatório.

O TJD-RJ esclarece, por fim, que na próxima segunda-feira (17) será divulgada a Comissão Disciplinar sorteada para julgamento da denúncia, o que se pretende fazer com a eventual celeridade que pauta a Justiça Desportiva do Estado do Rio de Janeiro”.

Celtic may have already accepted that they will be relinquishing the Premiership crown to Rangers this season, but they can still end their campaign on a high.

Despite an inconsistent campaign littered with injury problems, the Bhoys are back into high gear and are pushing on to what they will hope is a fourth consecutive win. St Johnstone will play host to Celtic on Sunday and won’t want to come away with anything but a victory on home soil.

In order to upset them, the Hoops must attack the match as they have done for their last three fixtures. Neil Lennon has been taking some risks when it comes to his team choices, with one being the decision to axe Shane Duffy and promote Stephen Welsh to the starting lineup.

Odsonne Edouard is back to his goalscoring ways, but Lennon has decided to pair him up with a strike partner for the last six games. The clinical Frenchman has played alongside Mohamed Elyounoussi, Leigh Griffiths and Albian Ajeti up front, but none have made much difference to his performances.

The latter bagged himself a goal against St Mirren last time out, which was his first goalscoring contribution since his assists against Lille in the Europa League back in October. Ajeti is a rather inconsistent performer and he struggled to do much against the Saints midweek.

According to Sofascore, the striker managed just 16 successful passes and had 29 touches, which was less than Scott Bain in goal with 21 passes and 37 passes. Ajeti also failed to register a single shot towards goal before he was hauled off the pitch just after the hour mark.

Speaking to Football Insider during the week, Frank McAvennie had a lot to say about the £13,500 per week forward’s performance. The former Scotland international blasted Ajeti for “strolling about” during the St Mirren fixture and admitted he would not be satisfied with the Swiss as Edouard’s permanent successor.

To avoid a dip in form, Lennon must make a brutal decision on dropping Ajeti, despite him starting the last three games. Celtic cannot afford to become placid in attack or they risk dropping even more points this term.

A quinta-feira foi de mais homenagens do Sport ao ídolo Leonardo, falecido na última terça. Terceiro maior artilheiro da história do Leão com 133 gols em 367 jogos, o ex-atacante foi exaltado antes do duelo do Rubro-Negro diante do River, na Ilha do Retiro, pela quarta rodada da Copa do Nordeste, competição que Leonardo venceu pelo clube em 1994 e 2000. O Sport mostrou poder de reação diante do se torcedor, mas cedeu o empate no fim do jogo, após ter conquistado uma virada diante do River. No fim, um 2 a 2 que manteve o Leão invicto e na liderança do Grupo D da “Lampions League”.

O Sport foi aos oito pontos e segue em boa situação para avançar às quartas de final da competição. O River, por sua vez, celebrou o fato de ter alcançado a vice-liderança, já que chegou aos cinco pontos. Fortaleza e Botafogo-PB, ambos com quatro, completam a chave. Na próxima rodada, o Fortaleza receberá o Sport. Já o River terá o Botafogo-PB como rival, novamente fora de casa.

Os jogadores do Sport ingressaram no gramado utilizando uma camisa especial feita para homenagear Leonardo e carregando uma faixa com uma foto do ex-atleta com os seguintes dizeres: “Quem é Rei, jamais perde a majestade. O Sport teve a sorte de te ter, e nós tivemos a sorte de ser Sport. Obrigado por tudo, Leonardo”. A camisa de jogo de cada atleta também tinha o nome do ídolo leonino.

RIVER SURPREENDE, MAS LEÃO BUSCA O EMPATE

Antes de a bola rolar, o árbitro Gleidson Santos Oliveira (BA) precisou trocar seu relógio. Relógio que foi acionado por ele logo no início do jogo. Bastaram 45 segundos para o River provar que não teria apenas o objetivo de se defender em Recife. O cruzamento da direita não foi interceptado e André Beleza abriu o placar na Ilha.

O Sport tardou para “entrar” no jogo, o que garantiu outra chance para André Beleza, aos 17, mas que não foi aproveitada. Com o passar dos minutos, o Rubro-Negro, com mais posse de bola, foi ganhando terreno e pressionando o time piauiense. O gol, que fez justiça ao domínio do Leão, veio aos 34, em finalização de fora da área com Neto Moura, aos 34.

VIRADA DO LEÃO, PRESSÃO DO RIVER E NOVO EMPATE

O Sport manteve o ritmo que apresentou antes do intervalo na volta para o segundo tempo. Trabalhando melhor a bola, o time pernambucano apresentava mais volume de jogo, mas pecava nas conclusões. Eis que, aos 20 minutos, Fábio, que acabara de entrar, cruzou bola da esquerda. Bola que foi interceptada com o braço esquerdo por Rafael Araújo. O colombiano Lenis, utilizado a camisa 7 que um dia foi do ídolo Leonardo garantiu a virada do Sport, aos 22.

O Sport teve boas chances para ampliar e garantir certa tranquilidade para a sequência da partida, mas as chances de Matheus Ferraz e Luiz Antônio não se traduziram em gols. O River não se entregou, se aproveitou de um certo recuo do Rubro-Negro e tratou de pressionar nos minutos finais. Tote foi o primeiro a testar os reflexos de Danilo Fernandes. Eis que, aos 48, o insistente River chegou ao empate. Após cobrança de falta, Fabinho tentou finalizar, Danilo Fernandes afastou a bola com um chutão, mas Paulo Paraíba estava no meio do caminho e garantiu o 2 a 2.

CAMPINENSE VENCE EM PERNAMBUCO

No outro jogo desta quinta pela Copa do Nordeste que teve início às 19h, o Campinense venceu o Salgueiro, por 2 a 1, em pleno Cornélio de Barros, pelo Grupo A. Danilo abriu o placar para o time paraibano, Cássio Ortega deixou tudo igual ainda no primeiro tempo, mas a Raposa garantiu o triunfo com Negretti, aos 21 minutos da etapa final.

Com a vitória, o Campinense segue líder e invicto, agora com dez pontos. Salgueiro, Imperatriz e ABC, todos com quatro pontos, aparecem na sequência.

Phil Hay has provided an update on Leeds United’s stance heading into the final hours of the January transfer window. The Athletic reporter was asked whether any incomings were on the cards for the Whites, to which he simply replied ‘no’.

This naturally could change with the ebbs and flows of deadline day. However, should Hay’s response be true, Leeds could be looking at some seriously choppy waters ahead for the remainder of the season.

Leeds must be cautious of injury problems

Despite spending a handsome amount in the summer window, the Championship winners are still being hammered by injuries. As it stands, Marcelo Bielsa is without summer recruits Robin Koch and Diego Llorente, who both operate at centre-back. Their most recent fixture against Leicester City also saw them pick up three more injury problems.

According to Premier Injuries, Patrick Bamford is out with a dead leg, which isn’t too serious. But playmakers Raphinha and Rodrigo are currently being assessed for reported muscular and groin injuries respectively.

This could see the duo out for an extensive period of time, which leaves Leeds short in the engine room. Bamford is already heavily carrying his side in terms of attack this season, they cannot afford to lose even more fire power.

With Raphinha out, Bielsa will likely have to field string players Ian Poveda or Helder Costa on the right-wing. The loss of the the Brazilian will be hefty one for the newly promoted outfit – he has already contributed to seven of Leeds’ Premier League goals this season, as per Transfermarkt.

Injuries have already cost the Whites dearly in defence, dropping points to the likes of Brighton and even Crawley Town in the FA Cup. Now, they could be limited in both their backline and attacking force, which is a recipe for disaster.

Victor Orta should be utilising this transfer window to strengthen an injury-stricken squad, but Hay’s update could mean trouble is on the horizon for a club desperate not to slip back down into the Championship. It will be very risky business if they choose not to bring in any new personnel today.

توجه الثنائي محمد الشناوي وحمدي فتحي لاعبا منتخب مصر الأول إلى أحد المراكز الطبية المتخصصة لإجراء آشعة على كل منهما للاطمئنان على حالتهما.

Após a queda na Copa do Brasil e derrota no Ba-Vi, da Copa do Nordeste, Roger Machado prometeu mudanças e colocou em prática no torneio continental. Uma das mais surpreendentes aconteceu no gol, onde Douglas deu lugar a Anderson.

Na coletiva de imprensa, o treinador confirmou que bateu um papo com os dois goleiros e cravou que Anderson é o seu novo titular, mas se Douglas recuperar o bom momento, ele retoma a sua posição no time.

‘Anderson vai dar sequência, por justiça, mas também salientei que o Douglas… Não preciso ter pudor. Eu disse ao Anderson que estou colocando ele por justiça, por trabalhar bem, por ter nos ajudado a sermos campeões baianos quando Douglas estava machucado. Mas o Douglas é titular. Leeds haven’t particularly had the rub of the green in 2021. Fortunately, a transfer window is here for Victor Orta to try and correct things.

The Whites are yet to win this year, neither have they scored a single goal. It would appear that Marcelo Bielsa is beginning to suffer a few headaches.

One of the worst aspects of their play this term has undoubtedly been their defence. They’ve shipped seven in their last three games and have conceded a league-high ten goals from set-pieces this season.

In total, Bielsa’s men have let in 34 goals – a tally only worse than West Brom in the Premier League.

That being said, it’s difficult to judge a backline pillaged so much by injury. Diego Llorente has played just once for the Whites while Liam Cooper and Robin Koch were both missing throughout the festive period.

Though, one place they could easily have improved in recent transfer windows is their left-back position.

Since Charlie Taylor left in 2017, the Whites have been missing plenty of consistency in that area of the pitch. After his departure, Leeds relied on the likes of Gaetano Berardi and Vurnon Anita in that third of the pitch.

Anita’s spell was far from successful at Elland Road while Berardi – also capable of playing at centre-half – has one of the worst disciplinary records in the club’s history. In total, the Swiss defender has been sent off on seven occasions for Leeds.

Orta brought Wolves promotion hero Barry Douglas in 2018 but alongside Gjanni Alioski, the left side of Leeds’ defence was again met with inconsistency. He was a set-piece wizard in the Midlands but failed to score for the Whites and was also met with plenty of fitness and injury concerns.

Stuart Dallas and Alioski were the main contenders for the left-back role last season and although Leeds were promoted, neither are naturals in that position.

With Alioski demonstrating yet more defensive inaptitude this term, a new left-back is clearly needed. Fortunately, they could find the answer to all of their prayers in Jordan Amavi.

The £25k-per-week earner has been linked with a switch to Leeds in recent days, and if they can prise him away from Marseille, it would end their four-year-long problem.

That’s because not only is Amavi a natural left-back, but he has Premier League experience and he’s a very capable player.

For context, the Frenchman has won a colossal 2.9 interceptions per game this term. That record is better than every single player at Leeds in 2020/21.

On top of that, he gets forward and is strong in the tackle. Amavi has completed 1.1 dribbles per match in Ligue 1 this season, a record that beats each player in the squad besides Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling and Raphinha.

It’s defensively though where Leeds supporters will be most keen to know of his qualities. He is incredibly well suited to dealing with one-on-one situations, being dribbled past by an opponent just 0.24 times a game.

That would make him the best outfield player at Leeds for that statistic. Alioski is dribbled past 1.48 times per game while Dallas is surpassed 1.79 times a match.

It’s clear why Amavi would be a good signing for the club. He is better defensively than the North Macedonian and he’s a natural at left-back – something Leeds haven’t always had in the last few years.
