Celtic have a golden opportunity to resurrect their turbulent season as they face Hearts this afternoon on the road. The Championship side will host the struggling Hoops in what could turn out to be another historic achievement for Neil Lennon and his men.

The two will lock horns in the Scottish Cup final and a win for Celtic will see them secure the ‘quadruple treble’. But they mustn’t underestimate Hearts. The Bhoys have had a wretched time trying to keep up with Rangers in the league this season, currently trailing by a hefty 13 points.

Lennon may have to make peace with the fact he will not finish top of the Premiership this term, but he can rectify his mistakes by guiding his team to some silverware this afternoon.

After stepping up the plate in Celtic’s hour of need, Conor Hazard has more than earned the opportunity to start against Hearts today. Whilst Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas have both disappointed this boss this season, the reserve ‘keeper has come to his team’s aid. Hazard should be one of the first names on the team-sheet.

Lennon’s usual back three should start in order to give the 22-year-old shot-stopper some confidence. Just in front of them, Scott Brown could return to the lineup in order to rally his troops and provide that sense of authority in the middle of the park.

But alongside him we could see Ismaila Soro return after impressing in his last two games. This means that the £20,000 per week Callum McGregor will take a rare seat on the bench. He has started every single game for the Bhoys this season, but Lennon could be looking to seriously shake things up.

Diego Laxalt missed out on a starting spot against Kilmarnock, but he should return today. On the opposite flank however, Ryan Christie may feature whilst the fruitful attacker in David Turnbull could start just ahead of him.

Football FanCast recently fought the corner of Leigh Griffiths, who could be looking at his final season of seeing much of the Celtic action. The least he deserves for all his hard work is to help the Hoops win a trophy, and for that reason, Lennon should start the Scot over Odsonne Edouard, who has hit a slump recently.

Após a queda na Copa do Brasil e derrota no Ba-Vi, da Copa do Nordeste, Roger Machado prometeu mudanças e colocou em prática no torneio continental. Uma das mais surpreendentes aconteceu no gol, onde Douglas deu lugar a Anderson.

Na coletiva de imprensa, o treinador confirmou que bateu um papo com os dois goleiros e cravou que Anderson é o seu novo titular, mas se Douglas recuperar o bom momento, ele retoma a sua posição no time.

‘Anderson vai dar sequência, por justiça, mas também salientei que o Douglas… Não preciso ter pudor. Eu disse ao Anderson que estou colocando ele por justiça, por trabalhar bem, por ter nos ajudado a sermos campeões baianos quando Douglas estava machucado. Mas o Douglas é titular. Disse a ele que isso pode durar um, dois, 10, 100 jogos. Mas, quando eu entender que o Douglas deve retomar, vou retomá-lo’, disse Roger.

After two successive relegation campaigns, Sunderland have started the season in a much better fashion. 

With Stewart Donald installed as the new chairman and Jack Ross as the new manager, Sunderland seem to be beginning an era where they may be some positivity for the club.

Although we’re only seven games into the new season, Sunderland currently sit fourth in the league.

Crucially, Donald handed Ross a raft of new signings in the hope of securing promotion back to the Championship. The Black Cats signed 12 new players over the summer, including League One hotshot Charlie Wyke and Wycombe Wanderers’ talented midfielder Luke O’Nien.

Bringing in new players was always going to be key for the club but so was shedding some of the deadwood from the squad. Lamine Kone, Paddy McNair, Wahbi Khazri and John O’Shea all departed the club. The only long-term players who the club didn’t manage to ship off are Papy Djilobodji and Didier Ndong. In what will come as great news for Sunderland fans, the club is now exploring the possibility of suing both players.

The Breakdown

Djilobodji only returned last week but was scheduled to return to the club in August. Sunderland had tried to get rid of the centre-half over the summer but a move never materialised. Even more shockingly than his fellow teammate, Didier Ndong has failed to even return to the club.

Two years ago, this may have derailed a Sunderland side that was constantly fighting relegation. The mere fact that the club have taken such a strong stance against both the players and have continued to perform well on the pitch, shows that Sunderland are finally in reliable hands.

اديمولا شوبويل من مواليد 2003 ويلعب في مركز رأس الحربة وهو ما يعد استمرارًا لاستراتيجية الجهاز الفني بقيادة الكابتن شوقي غريب ومجلس إدارة النادي برئاسة المهندس محسن صلاح، والمشرف على الكرة المهندس محمد عادل فتحي بضم عناصر صغيرة في السن وتكوين فريق قوي.

ووقع اللاعب على عقود انضمامه للفريق لمدة 3 مواسم ونصف الموسم حتى موسم 2025-2026، وانتظم في التدريبات الجماعية للفريق بعد اجتيازه الفحص الطبي.

ويحتل المقاولون العرب المركز الخامس في جدول ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 28 نقطة.

أكد بابافاسيليو المدير الفني لنادي البنك الأهلي، أن تعادل غزل المحلة مع فريقه في اللحظات الأخيرة من المباراة التي أقيمت اليوم الإثنين، شيء محبط.

البنك الأهلي واجه غزل المحلة، في إطار منافسات الجولة الـ 16 لبطولة الدوري، وانتهي اللقاء بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدفين لكل فريق.

وقال فاسيليو خلال تصريحات عبر قناة أون تايم سبورت: “التعادل في آخر ثانية بالمباراة شيء محبط، وعملت مع الفريق منذ 3 أو 4 أيام وسعيد بالعمل والتنظيم”.

وأضاف: “ظهر أداءنا وعملنا في بعض أوقات المباراة، واليوم كنت أعلم أنني أواجه المحلة وهم يجيدون اللعب على الأرض والاستحواذ على الكرة”.

وواصل: “أشكر جماهير المحلة على دعمهم ومساندتي خلال مسيرتي الأخيرة، وهم الآن في مكان آمن واحتاجوا عملًا كبيرًا للوصول إلى هذا المركز بالدوري، وعبد الباقي جمال مدرب كبير ويستطيع مواصلة العمل الجيد مع المحلة”.

وأتم: “موافقتي على قيادة البنك الأهلي لأنهم يمتلكون كل القدرات والامكانيات وسنعمل بشكل جيد مع أجل تحسين الأداء والنتائج وإن شاء الله مع الوقت لن يكون هناك أي مشاكل في الفريق”.

وكان بابافاسيليو رحل عن تدريب غزل المحلة، وتولى قيادة البنك الأهلي في 25 يناير الجاري.

O duelo

O Oeste começou o jogo no campo de ataque e até esboçou uma pressão, mas ela durou pouco. O Vitória tomou conta do meio-campo e foi rondando o gol paulista.

Na casa dos 32 minutos, Lucas Cândido levantou com estilo e Felipe Garcia abriu o marcador para o time da casa, 1 a 0.

Na etapa final o Leão não deu sopa para o azar. Nos primeiros minutos, Caicedo aproveitou o rebote do goleiro para ampliar, 2 a 0.

Com o adversário entregue, o Vitória jogava fácil e Caicedo, em noite inspirada, colocou mais uma bola dentro do gol paulista, 3 a 0.

O Oeste até esboçou uma reação através de Willian Rocha, mas o gol não adiantou muita coisa e o Leão festejou a sua saída do Z4.

Leicestershire slid to 78 all out and a heavy defeat against Lancashire as Tom Bailey’s maiden five-wicket haul revived memories of their desperate recent seasons

Leicestershire replaced their coach, captain, chief executive and overseas player over the winter and the impact of those changes was seen in vaguely encouraging performances from their opening four matches. But here was an ugly reminder of the progress they still have to make as they completely capitulated on the fourth afternoon, bowled out for 78 in a repeat embarrassment of the horrors of 2014.Tom Bailey – only playing here because Peter Siddle has left to join up with the Australian Test squad – took his maiden five-wicket haul, and together with Kyle Jarvis ran through Leicestershire, sharing seven wickets for Lancashire’s third win of the season. Surely even the most optimistic in the visitors’ dressing room did not believe they would be back on the bus with a jug of Wainwright by 5pm.Cosgrove calm after “little setback”

“I’ve been playing seconds for four years so I’ve been chomping at the bit to get a chance. Last week I felt off form but I’ve done some work with Glen Chapple between games and it’s really helped me. When it’s not swinging I’ve been struggling so I’ve been working to get some pace behind the ball.

“We’ve got an exciting attack. We had Chappie, Hogg, Kabir Ali last year and we’ve lost all of them so to be still be seen as favourites for the title is a big thing and there’s a lot of pressure on us. But we’re a young bunch of lads and looking forward to it.”

“We’ve come so far this year and played some good cricket so to put in a performance like that is very disappointing. The top five didn’t do their job. The pitch was fine. You look back to day one, if we’d have caught our catches it could have been different.

“The dressing room is really good at the moment, it’s enthusiastic, we know we’re moving forward and this is just a little setback. If we show what we’re about at Essex next week this will be forgotten.”

Most observers also thought Leicestershire had more fight in them than this. The ball continued to swing but wickets were not taken with miracle deliveries: Neil Pinner hooked Jarvis down long leg’s throat; Clint McKay played the same stroke to be caught by wicketkeeper Alex Davies running out to square leg; captain Mark Cosgrove – to his second ball – attempted the same shot, thought against it but not in time and spooned a catch to Davies; Ned Eckersley simply missed a straight ball from Bailey.Leicestershire were asked to survive 59 overs to save the match and the pessimistic in the ground recalled last year’s match here against Hampshire where Leicestershire were fired out for 96 in 31.4 overs. Perhaps the team themselves could not get that afternoon out of their heads either. They were seven down after 14.2 overs having lost 7 for 9 in 47 balls. Tom Wells and Clint McKay at least managed to survive for seven overs to take the game into the final session and avoid Leicestershire’s lowest score against Lancashire at Grace Road of 47.There were happier experiences for Leicestershire to draw on from the opening four rounds of this season. They produced spirited responses to scoreboard pressure both at home to Glamorgan and in the wake of Kevin Pietersen’s 355 at The Oval. But it was the Leicestershire of last season that re-emerged here in a performance that will greatly frustrate the new management.The carnage was brewed in the sixth over. Jarvis jagged one back sharply to rip through Lewis Hill but past the inside edge and off stump. Hill then drove loosely just short of backward point before being struck on the pad, only for an inside edge to save him. Hill, flustered, edged Bailey low to Paul Horton at first slip in the next over.Three poor dismissals of Eckersley, Cosgrove and Pinner followed before Angus Robson was also caught in the cordon off Bailey, who claimed his five-for with an inswinger to take out Ben Raine’s off stump and a catch at second slip offered by Niall O’Brien – who spoke of Leicestershire’s solid chance of winning on the third evening.To force victory themselves, Leicestershire needed a run of morning wickets but with heavy cloud cover and an 11 over old ball they only managed a couple of lbws as Ashwell Prince and Alex Davies shared the highest partnership of the match: 107 at just under a run-a-ball.Davies impressively upped the scoring rate in a 50-ball half-century, his fourth in the Championship this season. He was busy, played the gaps well and ran hard between the wickets. Twice he skipped down the track to lift Charlie Shreck over his head. Prince, not as fluent as Davies, went to his own fifty in 85 balls with one of several wild edges, this through third man. Lancashire went to a rain-induced early lunch with 64 runs in 62 balls but even though they took 10 overs of the afternoon before declaring, they still found more than enough time to secure victory.
